As usual my aunt woke me up early to get the market stall ready. It was still dark so early in the morning when we made our way to the market. But when we got there the overcast sky was turning red with the morning glow from the east. As usual we walk past the east gate of the city. And as usual I think about making a run for it. to sprint as hard as I can and escape the city. To be free to travel the world and explore, to go to Dancien and sail to where the sea meets the sky. It was not that I couldn’t leave. It’s just that If I left… what would my mother say when she came back. My Aunt took care of me while she was away. She was a good woman, but she tended to be a bit harsh. She runs me ragged every day; she says I need to work for her as long as I live with her. so, I carry the fruit bought from Mr. Hrupton to our stall and arrange them on the trays. And opportunist businessmen sold slave collars for all sizes and shapes. This was it, the big thing. the extraterrestrial visit. the moment everyone was waiting for. the aliens

As the door opened, I could feel my legs almost buckle. I had been worried that Ragnar would get confrontational, and so did he by the looks of his body language. But that was not going to happen.  His face drained of color when he saw the creature. We all expected more or less something that would be simply a guy in an alien bodysuit. But when we saw what stepped into the room, that part of my brain mused having solved a mystery. “oohh that’s why the doors are so big”. The hulking beast resembled a large polar bear. White fur cowered its back and face. walking on four legs each had giant claws on each. and two more hands were crossed on its chest. The giant eyes scanned each and every one of us. the five of us stood frozen in place. The giant beast walked straight to the buffet, where Ragnar was standing. Once sure of himself He stepped gingerly back almost tripping over himself as the creature casually walked up the table paying no attention to him. It unfolded its front arms picked

Chapter 1 it was late evening blue Jovian loomed in the sky shining a blue glow over the landscape. The sky suddenly lights up near a small village as bright fireball streaks across the sky. meteorites are not uncommon but rarely hit the ground.
